Mineral Deficiency

Testing for mineral deficiency

Minerals are inorganic substances that have important functions in the organism. A mineral deficiency can lead to a wide range of functional disorders in the body and can therefore be the cause of clinical conditions. To examine the mineral balance, a detailed blood test can be carried out, for example an intracellular whole blood analysis. Serum analyses, as frequently carried out in general practice, measure the concentration in the blood serum; a whole blood analysis also includes the blood cells. Blood tests can reveal deficiencies in vitamins and minerals. In my practice, I carry out an intracellular whole blood analysis, which tests for deficiencies at the cellular level. It provides indications of the supply at the cellular level.
