Holistic Therapies: The E4 Method

Natura Heilpraxis Magazine: Holistic Therapies

The E4 method is a holistic model of observationthat understands the human being as a complex system of several interconnected levels.

In our naturopathic practice, we follow this holistic approach and include different aspects of human existence in the therapeutic assessment. We look not only at physical symptoms, but also take into account metabolic processes, the autonomic nervous system, and biographical, emotional, mental, and psychological influencing factors. These aspects are classified as part of a holistic understanding and serve the individual support in the naturopathic context.

We assume that a comprehensive view of different levels can help to better understand health-related connections and to classify individual processes. In our naturopathic practice, a holistic perspective is therefore central, taking into account physical, emotional, mental, and life-related aspects. The aim is to accompany people naturopathically on their personal path toward more balance and well-being.

Our therapy approach: natural and holistic

At Natura Heilpraxis, we follow a holistic approach in which the person is viewed as a whole. Physical, emotional, and mental aspects are not seen in isolation but in context. The aim is to understand individual health-related connections and to accompany people naturopathically.

Our approach is based on holistic experience-based models. The focus is not exclusively on individual complaints, but on classifying possible influencing factors and burdens. We also see our work as preventive and want to encourage people to address health topics at an early stage.

Holistic approach

Our areas of focus include bowel health, accompanying support for metabolic and regulatory processes, and the naturopathic classification of states of exhaustion. Depending on the individual situation, various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are used, including approaches from orthomolecular medicine (e.g., vitamins, minerals, and trace elements).

In our work, we take into account possible connections between different body systems. From a naturopathic point of view, these include interactions between digestion, metabolism, the nervous system, and other organ functions. These classifications are based on practical experience and do not represent medical causal relationships.

The three pillars of holistic therapy at Natura Heilpraxis:

  • Metabolic level

  • Musculoskeletal level

  • Mental-emotional level

Natura Heilpraxis Magazine: Holistic Therapies

The therapy approach at Natura Heilpraxis is holistic.

The support is generally based on several interconnected levels that are considered together in the naturopathic context:

  • Energy-related metabolic processes, especially in connection with cellular energy metabolism (ATP)

  • Eliminative and regulatory procedures, for example with regard to individual burdens from environmental factors, medications, or metabolic residues, embedded in holistic detox concepts

  • Emotional-mental aspects, which are addressed through conversational support, coaching, meditation, and mindfulness-based methods

These levels are not viewed in isolation, but understood as interrelated in the sense of a holistic model. The aim is to classify individual stress factors and develop a structured support process. Statements about effects are based on naturopathic experience and do not constitute promises of healing.

To illustrate this, we use the image of a pyramid:

The base is formed by the physical-material level, above it are emotional and psychological aspects, and at the top are mental and meaning-related factors. Depending on the individual situation, different procedures are combined, always oriented toward these levels and taking into account the personal starting point.

Energy-related metabolic processes (ATP)

In functional and holistic medicine, disturbances in cellular energy metabolism are discussed as a possible accompanying factor in various clinical pictures. The mitochondria, which as components of the cells are involved in energy production, play a special role here. Factors such as environmental pollution, dietary habits, or persistent stress can influence these processes.

Within Cellsymbiosistherapie®, specific micronutrients are used that are associated with energy metabolism in this concept. The aim is to accompany physiological processes. The application is based on individual diagnostics and does not constitute treatment in the conventional medical sense.

In our practice, the following accompanying elements are used, among others:

naturopathic diagnostics, nutrition-related counseling, eliminative concepts, accompanying bowel measures, conversation and coaching services, and individually tailored natural substance formulations. The selection is always made according to the situation and without any guarantee of a particular treatment outcome.
