Our Holistically Oriented Concept

Holistic Naturopathic Practice – Health-Conscious Support for Regeneration and Balance

At our Natura Heilpraxis, the focus is on holistic support for people within a health-conscious lifestyle.

In doing so, we take into account both existing challenges and prevention-oriented approaches to promoting well-being, balance and a conscious way of life.

Our approach is based on a holistic view of biological connections in the body, including in connection with energy balance, mental and hormonal balance and the body's own regulatory processes.

In the naturopathic understanding, these aspects are regarded as interconnected and form the basis for individually tailored support services geared toward regeneration, stabilization and long-term, conscious health care – on a physical as well as an emotional level.

The content described does not constitute any promise of cure or effect and does not replace medical diagnostics or therapy. In individual cases, the services we offer cannot replace treatment by a physician, psychotherapist or physiotherapist. Please do not discontinue ongoing treatment by a physician, psychotherapist or physiotherapist, and do not postpone such treatment

1. Cellular Energy & Mitochondria - Fundamentals of Energy Metabolism

Cellular energy balance

In the holistic understanding, the energy supply of the cells plays an important role in physical performance and general well-being. In biology, mitochondria are described as central components of cellular energy metabolism and are involved in providing ATP.

In addition, mitochondrial processes are connected with various cellular processes that, in a scientific context, are associated with oxidative balance and cellular adaptation mechanisms, among other things. In holistically oriented approaches, the energy balance of the cells is therefore often regarded as one aspect that can be taken into account in individual support.

Our holistic focus
  • A holistically oriented view of aspects of cellular energy balance

  • Individual support as part of a needs-based supply of micronutrients, vitamins, minerals and co-factors

  • Consideration of the body's own regulatory processes and of factors that, in the holistic understanding, are associated with oxidative balance

  • Building a solid nutrient foundation as part of a conscious way of life

Focus:

The aim of our support services is to help people perceive and care for their bodies as part of a health-conscious lifestyle, particularly with regard to energy balance, resilience and regeneration.

2. Nervous System, Neurotransmitters & Hormones – Aspects of Inner Balance

The state of the autonomic nervous system

The interplay of the sympathetic nervous system (tension, activity) and the parasympathetic nervous system (relaxation, regeneration) is often described in holistic perspectives as a factor that may be related to physical and emotional well-being.

Persistent stress is discussed as a possible influencing factor that may be associated with changes in regeneration processes and hormonal control loops.

Our holistic focus
  • Holistically oriented support in dealing with the stress and relaxation phases of the autonomic nervous system

  • Consideration of relaxation and recovery aspects as part of a health-conscious lifestyle

  • Inclusion of factors that, in the holistic understanding, are associated with neurotransmitter and hormone balance

  • Accompanying exploration of questions of meaning and inner conflicts as part of an individual, holistic view

Emotional and mental aspects

In the holistic approach, physical complaints are sometimes also considered in connection with emotional and mental strain. We accompany processes of self-reflection and inner clarification and support a conscious engagement with personal topics – as part of mindful self-care.

Focus:

The aim of our support services is to help people become more aware of stress and to develop impulses for more inner calm, stability and regeneration in everyday life.

3. Regulation & Elimination in the Holistic Understanding

Supporting and relieving the body mindfully

In the holistic understanding, many people ask themselves how they can relieve their bodies in everyday life and care for them more consciously. External influences, lifestyle factors and individual perceptions of strain are regarded as aspects that can influence personal well-being.

Holistically oriented approaches assume that the body's own regulatory processes interact with energy balance, inner balance and individual strain. These connections are taken into account as part of personal support by a naturopathic practitioner (Heilpraktiker).

Our holistic focus
  • Accompanying consideration of aspects of the organs of elimination – liver, gut and kidneys – as part of a conscious way of life and self-care

  • Inclusion of the body's own regulatory processes, which in a scientific context are associated with antioxidant balance and metabolic relationships, among other things

  • Holistic support on topics relating to environmental pollution and individual sensitivities, without any statements about elimination, detoxification or guaranteed effects

  • Mindful support of letting-go and relief processes on a physical and emotional level in the sense of self-reflection and conscious perception

  • Chelation-based support within a naturopathic setting, in which chelating agents can be considered as part of an individually tailored treatment, without any promise of effect or success

  • Accompanying urine analysis for orientation on the course, in which selected parameters can be used to support individual observations over time; this does not replace medical diagnostics

Three Levels of the Body's Capacity for Regeneration

Naturopathic practice, naturally holistic, concept of three pillars of holistic therapy Diagram showing the transition from the mental-emotional past to the physical future, with a reservoir in the upper area and an integration process in the lower area. It contains terms such as thinking, perception, information, energy, letting go, action and future development.

The Three-Process Principle

The illustration shows a basic regulatory principle of the body that is constantly repeated: intake – processing – elimination. A stimulus from outside or inside arises through perception, thoughts, emotional impulses or physical influences. This stimulus is first taken in and must then be classified by the body's own processing and regulatory mechanisms. This processing is closely linked to emotional experience, autonomic regulation and physical reactions.

If this integration succeeds, what is relevant can be retained and what is not needed can be released via the corresponding elimination and relief pathways. If processing remains incomplete or elimination is restricted, a persistent inner burden can result.

A comparable principle can be found in the immune system: foreign substances or stimuli are recognized, processed, integrated or neutralized and then eliminated. In healthy regulation, this creates a stable state of inner balance. This three-process principle plays a central role in adaptability and inner balance on both an emotional and a physical level.

The Four Levels of Existence – Understanding Holistically - E⁴ – Holistic Concept

The E⁴ – Holistic Concept is a holistically oriented approach that takes four levels of human experience into account and places them in a structured context. The aim is to look reflectively at different aspects of well-being, self-perception and a health-oriented way of life.

The focus is on:

  • the factual, objective level

with aspects of the body and metabolism, including basic physical functions and biochemical relationships,

  • the personal, subjective level

with individual thoughts, emotional experience and personal orientation toward meaning and values.

In the holistic understanding, these levels are not viewed in isolation but are perceived as interconnected. The E⁴ concept offers a framework for orientation in order to grasp the connections between physical, mental and emotional aspects more consciously and to incorporate them into your own way of life.

The approach can be used as part of individual support to provide impulses for self-reflection, mindfulness and health-conscious everyday living. Terms such as regeneration, relief, balance, longevity and holistic well-being are understood in the sense of a general lifestyle and health orientation, not in the sense of medical or therapeutic goals.

The Zero-Point Principle – Three Central Areas of Regulation

Diagram showing the relationship between energy level, stress and self-healing. The y-axis ranges from energy deficiency to sufficient energy. The curve shows that stress lowers the energy level, while self-healing is possible when the energy level remains above the zero point. Points A, B, C, D are marked, with B at the zero point. The zero-point principle – a focus on regeneration, stability, and longevity

The zero-point principle describes the interplay of central physical regulatory mechanisms that determine whether the organism works predominantly in stress mode or in regeneration mode. The "zero point" refers to the energetic and functional threshold above which the body once again has sufficient resources available for building-up and recovery processes.

The zero-point principle – three key areas of regulation

The first aspect is cellular energy availability, in particular the performance of the mitochondria. It forms the basis for the body's ability to provide energy and compensate for strain.

The second aspect concerns the autonomic nervous system: a balanced interplay of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems enables the ability to relax, deep sleep and stable regeneration phases.

The third aspect is the capacity of metabolism and relief, particularly with regard to antioxidant systems, glutathione metabolism and the function of the gut and liver in dealing with internal and external strain.

Stress mode and capacity for regeneration

Only when these three levels are sufficiently stable can the body cross the zero point. From this moment on, regeneration becomes possible again. The so-called point C stands for the phase in which accompanying therapeutic measures can be meaningfully applied, as the organism is once again able to use regulating and self-organizing processes.

From regeneration to everyday life – longevity as a conscious way of living

At point D, the integration of new rhythms, habits and lifestyle impulses begins. Here the focus is no longer on stabilization but on a sustainable orientation toward balance, adaptability and long-term health in the sense of a responsible longevity approach.

The Basic Principle of Our Work – Regulation as a Prerequisite for Regeneration

Our therapeutic work is based on a holistic understanding of health that takes several interlocking levels into account. The central foundation is the three regulatory principles – intake, processing and elimination – which are continuously repeated on a physical, emotional and mental level. In addition, we include the four levels of human experience: the physical, the autonomic-functional, the emotional and the mental-conscious level. Health arises where these levels are in balance with one another.

A central orientation model here is the zero-point principle. It describes the state in which the body has sufficient inner resources to switch from strain to regeneration. The prerequisite for this is the interplay of three fundamental forces:

The Three Central Aspects of the Capacity for Regulation and Regeneration

1. Cellular energy availability and energy metabolism

The basis of all regulation is the body's ability to provide sufficient energy. The focus here is on mitochondrial energy metabolism as the central hub of energy production. This is closely linked to biochemical processes and to a needs-based supply of micro- and macronutrients. Only when these foundations are stable can adaptation and balancing processes take place in the organism.

2. Autonomic balance and neuroendocrine regulation

Another essential aspect is the regulatory capacity of the autonomic nervous system. The interplay of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems influences the ability to relax, sleep quality and regenerative phases. Emotional strain, unresolved inner conflicts or stored stress patterns can also impair this balance. On a physical level, such imbalances are often reflected in changes in neurotransmitters and hormonal regulatory processes.

3. Capacity of metabolism and relief

The body's ability to cope with internal and external strain depends largely on functioning relief and elimination processes. These include in particular the role of the gut and liver, antioxidant protective systems and glutathione metabolism. In the holistic understanding, these processes are considered in connection with inner balance and with regulatory and energy systems.

Together, these three aspects form the basis of our therapeutic and supportive work. The procedures and applications used are oriented toward these levels.

When these foundations are sufficiently stable, regeneration becomes possible. Our accompanying therapeutic applications start on this basis. They are not directed at isolated symptoms but consider regulatory capacity, adaptation and inner order. All services are understood as part of an overarching approach that looks at the person as a whole and focuses on a health-conscious way of life.
