Aromatherapy with Essential Oils

Essential oils, herbal and flower essences have been used for thousands of years. Aromatherapy has long been used in many ways to accompany complaints. In aromatherapy, the oils are described, among other things, in connection with relaxation and well-being.

Ways of using essential oils

Essential oils can be used in an extraordinarily wide variety of ways. They can be applied internally, externally or via our sense of smell. Please observe our notes! Essential oils are concentrates and should never be used undiluted! We point out exceptions separately. They can irritate the eyes and mucous membranes! Store essential oils protected from light, in a cool place and out of the reach of children!

The Oil Dispersion Bath

The oil dispersion bath is a naturopathic procedure. Using a dispersion device, oils (a carrier oil with a few drops of essential oil) are finely swirled with water so that tiny droplets mix with the water. These are distributed in the bath water and thus come into contact with the skin.

Aromatogram

Essential oils and the aromatogram: As part of phytotherapy, aromatherapy is also discussed in naturopathy in connection with chronic infections and multi-resistant germs. Due to the increasing use of antibiotics in animal husbandry and human medicine, we are increasingly confronted with having no treatment options available against germs that have become resistant. Essential oils are discussed in the specialist literature in connection with antimicrobial properties; they do not replace treatment prescribed by a physician. Similar to an antibiogram, an aromatogram examines in the laboratory how detected germs react to various essential oils.
