A Non-Surgical Procedure with a Plant-Based Tincture

Basically, these skin lesions are mostly new growths and proliferations on the surface of the skin. Warts develop on the skin as a result of viral infections. These bothersome skin lesions are usually removed by surgery or freezing.

In this application, a special plant-based tincture is applied to the skin lesion. Over the following period, a scab forms and detaches from the surface of the skin. The area then heals; the result varies from person to person.

By the way: The process generally takes 1–3 weeks. Several skin lesions can be treated in one session.

What it involves:

  1. Assessment of the skin lesion before the application, with referral to a skin specialist if necessary

  2. Application of a plant-based tincture

  3. No heat or cold application, no anesthetic

  4. A slight burning sensation may occur for a few minutes during application

Which skin lesions can be removed:

  • Warts: seborrheic warts, fig warts,  juvenile warts, flat warts, molluscum contagiosum, genital warts, filiform warts, plantar warts

  • Moles, liver spots

  • Nevi: junctional nevus, pigmented nevus, giant hairy nevus, nevus coeruleus (blue nevus)

  • Skin tags

Costs: from €40 per growth or blemish, depending on its size, location and complexity.
We also treat skin lesions such as cosmetically bothersome spots or pigmentation disorders.

Note: The result of the application varies from person to person; no particular effect can be promised.

Before the Application for Removing Moles/Liver Spots

  1. Please relax. We will explain the procedure to you in detail before the application.

  2. Show your skin lesions to naturopathic practitioner (Heilpraktiker) Yesha Karmeli. In a short case history, the blemishes are examined for type, size and urgency. If necessary, you will be referred to a skin specialist.

  3. After the examination, the costs for removing the skin lesions are calculated individually. 20% of the removal costs are charged as consultation fees.

  4. Once you have decided on removal, the tincture is applied. Please keep still for a moment. A slight burning sensation, similar to a mosquito bite, will last for a few minutes.

After the Application

The first 24 hours: Please keep the treated area dry (no shower)! The treated area will shrink and change color within the first 2–3 hours. It usually becomes paler with a reddish halo (hyperemic reaction). This skin reaction is usual after the application.
After 24 hours you can shower. The scab should  not absorb any water until it falls off (no long baths); a narrow red border around the treated area is normal and desired.

After 3–5 days: A hard scab forms on the treated area. Do not rub or scratch it (after showering, gently pat it dry). If you pull off the scab too early, a new scab will form and healing will be delayed. If it itches, please cool the area while keeping it dry (e.g. with ice in a plastic bag).

Depending on the individual, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment!

After 14–21 days: the scab usually falls off. Any redness or discoloration may remain visible for some time.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to say directly how deep skin lesions go. How the skin reacts to the application varies from person to person.

If a skin reaction occurs after the treatment that worries you, please contact our practice immediately.
